For the past few years, I’ve been exploring the decorative motifs of places and cultures I’ve been fortunate enough to visit.  Looking at textiles, ceramics, decorated furniture, architectural elements in domestic and religious buildings, and manuscripts, I’ve been reminded of my own Hungarian roots and how great a role the decorative arts play in the transmission of culture and beauty from one generation to the next.
